Your personal guide will meet you at the security check point of Greenock Cruise Port at 9am (depending on when your ship is in).

First stop of the day is at Stirling Castle; sitting in the middle of the country it is considered the most important place in Scotland. For this reason it has seen its share of historic battles, including William Wallace at Stirling Bridge, Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn and the last siege led by Bonnie Prince Charlie. It became a great renaissance castle, home to the Stuart Dynasty, built by James IV as a fairy tale castle. Its most famous resident was Mary Queen of Scots. The tour last approx. 1 hour 30 minutes.

Then we travel through the scenic area of The Trossachs, often called ‘Scotland in Minature’. This route was travelled by Scotland’s first tourists during Victorian times which became famous in the writings of Sir Walter Scott. We pass Loch Venachar and Loch Achray which have been the inspiration for many paintings and poems, and now popular place to fish, sail and camp. We will stop for lunch in Aberfoyle.

After lunch we then take a drive to Loch Lomond; the largest lake in Great Britain. It is known worldwide from its song about the Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. We stop for a short photo break here before heading back to the cruise port. Arriving back to Greenock at approx. 5pm.
