Enjoy a day tour from Edinburgh with your private driver guide to Scotland's award winning country winery. Cairn O'Mohr has been making fruit wine sparkling wines, ciders and bourtree juices using near anything that grows for 30 years. Full of juicy-fruit, berry loaded, blossom scented, leafy layers using the berries for which the area is famous, wild flowers, fruits and leaves. Set in amongst the rich fields and the hedge fringed country roads of the Carse of Gowrie, Perthshire.
As we depart from Edinburgh we drive over the Firth of Forth with views of the amazing bridges. The first stop of the day is at Loch Leven where we then take a short boat crossing to reach the ruins of the famous castle island. In the 16th century it was used as a jail controlled by Sir William Douglas. This is where Mary Queen of Scots was held prisoner for almost a year and force to abdicate her thrown to her son James. Your guide will tell you the story on how she escaped in 1568. The castle now sits in ruins.
After we head to the waterfront of Dundee where we have a short panoramic tour and stop for lunch. Dundee is famous for its industries which were the three J's, Jute Jam and Journalism. The RSS Discovery tall ship sits on its waters which was a merchant ship for the Hudson's Bay Company and has sailed the Antarctic. Sadly its first rail bridge sunk in the 19th century called the Tay Disaster.
We then reach Cairn O'Mohr Winery were we enjoy a tour of the factory and learn the process of making the wine and cider. Then end with a tasting of a selection of Cairn O'Mohr products.

- What's included depends on your size of your group. For 1 to 7 people the tour will include a driver guide and vehicle. For 8 people or more there will be a coach/minicoach, driver and guidie.
- We cannot guarantee the weather but we can guarantee the scenery.
