Description
This private tour combines the highlights of Edinburgh and a visit to Rosslyn Chapel. On this private tour we can pick you up your hotel, the airport or cruise ship.
We begin with a panoramic tour of Edinburgh, including highlights of the New Town, Holyrood Palace (exterior), Arthur’s Seat, Royal Mile, Greyfriar’s Bobby and Grassmarket. Then we will take you on a private guided tour of Edinburgh Castle. After there is free time for lunch and shopping on the Royal Mile.
On the second half of the day we go to Rosslyn Chapel; a place full of mystery and stories. It is owned by the Sinclair family as is the close by castle. Rosslyn Chapel is a great piece of mediaeval masonry and stone work. It has connections with Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots, The Templar Knights, Robert Burns and more. Also was featured in the Dan Brown novel “The Da Vinci Code”.
