On this shore excursions you have the opportunity to visit the Underground Vaults of Edinburgh. Hidden underneath the streets of the Old Town is a largest system of caverns. Discover a dark, damp world where little has changed since the 18th century. It was home to the city’s most destitute inhabitants. Peering into the darker corners might give you an idea of where the body snatchers hid their cadavers, or how the city's unfortunate inhabitants lived.
Also included in this tour is a panoramic tour of the New and Old Towns of Edinburgh. Then exploring the historical monuments of the Royal Mile we make our way to Edinburgh Castle. Dominating the skyline of the city the castle has seen a turbulent history. Your personal local guide will take you on a private tour of the castle. Leading you up past the One O'Clock Gun, Foog Gate, St Margaret's Chapel and Mon's Meg. Then at Crown Square you will have the chance to explore the medieval Great Hall, War Memorial and view the Crown Jewel's and Stone of Destiny.
