Private Day Tour to Oban and Inveraray
Description
This private day tour can be adapted to pick up from Edinburgh, Stirling or Glasgow. On this tour we go to the fairytale castle in Inveraray and popular whisky distillery in Oban. Along the way we take in the stunning scenery of the Western Highlands.
Your Scottish Tour Guide will pick you up at your hotel in Edinburgh or Stirling (or Glasgow). We then start our journey with a scenic drive via Loch Lomond and the Rest and be Thankful. We then reach our first highlight of the day: Inveraray Castle. Home of the Chief of the Clan Campbell and the Duke of Argyle. A fairy tale castle from the 18th century with a history that goes back to medieval times.
We continue our tour with a photo stop at Kilchurn Castle. A ruined castle on Loch Awe with stunning landscapes. Finally reaching the seaside capital of Oban. Known as the gateway to the western Isles. On a clear day you can see the Isle of Mull. Here you will have a lunch break and get a chance to experience Scottish Seafood.
After lunch you will have the opportunity to visit Oban Distillery for tour of the distillery and a whisky tasting. The distillery is the oldest building in town centre. The town name means Little Bay. The whisky is the lightest smoked with 1ppm of peat.
We then begin our journey back with a comfort stop.

- What's included depends on your size of your group. For 1 to 7 people the tour will include a driver guide and vehicle. For 8 people or more there will be a coach/minicoach, driver and guidie.
- We cannot guarantee the weather but we can guarantee the scenery.
