Inverness – Gateway to the Highlands
Your day begins in Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. Heading south, the first stop is Dochgarroch, where you can choose to join an optional Loch Ness by Jacobite cruise along the Caledonian Canal and into the legendary waters of Loch Ness (Optional Extra – Cruise and Castle combined ticket – £34.00 per person). The cruise brings you to the atmospheric ruins of Urquhart Castle, one of the most iconic sites on the loch. You’ll have time to explore its dramatic setting before meeting back with your guide.
Invermoriston – Stone Bridge & Salmon Runs
We continue to Invermoriston, a charming village where you’ll see the historic stone bridge and, in the right season, may even catch sight of salmon leaping upstream.
Fort Augustus – Lochside Village Charm
Next is Fort Augustus, a postcard‑perfect village at the southern tip of Loch Ness. Enjoy lunch overlooking the water, browse the Caledonian Canal Centre, or watch boats navigating the canal locks — a fascinating piece of Highland engineering.
Falls of Foyers – Hidden Highland Gem
Our journey then takes us to the Falls of Foyers, a hidden treasure tucked away in the forest. A short woodland walk leads to a spectacular waterfall, immortalized in the poetry of Robert Burns.
Dores Beach – Final Loch Ness Views
The last stop is Dores Beach, offering one of the most breathtaking and uninterrupted panoramas down Loch Ness. It’s the perfect spot for photos — and perhaps your final chance to glimpse Nessie.
Return to Inverness
We arrive back in Inverness in the early evening, with memories of castles, waterfalls, village charm, and lochside legends — maybe even a mysterious photo from the water.

Loch Ness cruise & Urquhart Castle visit £35
The type of vehicle employed on our tours varies depending on the number of passengers travelling on a particular departure. Generally tours are operated by 16 or 19 seat minibuses and 29 & 33 seat luxury mini-coaches. All vehicles are modern and specially built for comfortable touring. All vehicles have either forced-air ventilation or air-conditioning plus large panoramic windows to ensure the very best views. ABS, secondary breaking systems and a host of other safety features will ensure a safe trip.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS FOR SCHEDULED TOURS
When a passenger wishes to make a cancellation of a scheduled 1 day tour tour the following charges apply:
- Within 24 hours of the tour departure, no refund will be given.
- Within 2 to 3 days before the tour date 50% of the tour price will be payable unless the seat can be re-sold in which case the passenger will receive a full refund..
