This itinerary is fully flexible and can be tailored to your schedule and flight times.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer
Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport, a professional chauffeur driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax, explore the nearby streets, or simply unwind after your journey. If you arrive early and would like to add an activity, let us know when you enquire.
Day 2: Royal Mile Walking tour and Christmas Market
Begin the day with a guided walking tour of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. Stroll along the iconic Royal Mile, explore the hidden closes and narrow alleyways, and hear fascinating stories from the city’s past, from its darker legends to tales of kings, queens, and everyday life in Scotland’s capital. After a couple of hours exploring the Royal Mile, we will continue on a festive walk through Edinburgh’s Christmas celebrations. Visit Santa’s Grotto, glide past the ice rink, explore the Polar Ice Bar, take in the views from the Big Wheel, and finish at the Christmas Market. Here you can enjoy a warming mulled wine and a traditional bratwurst while browsing the stalls for unique gifts and souvenirs.
As evening falls, make your way to Edinburgh Castle for the Castle of Lights. This spectacular after-dark experience transforms the ancient fortress into a stunning display of colour, sound, and storytelling. The castle comes alive with dazzling projections and creative light installations that highlight its dramatic history. Wander through glowing courtyards, explore immersive displays, and see one of Edinburgh’s most iconic landmarks in a completely new light, making it a truly magical festive experience.
Day 3: Departure or add-on another day tour
Your chauffeur driver will collect you from your hotel approximately 2½ hours before your flight, ensuring you arrive at Edinburgh Airport with plenty of time for check-in and departure.
