Enjoy a whisky break in the city of Edinburgh. Learn all about the history of Spirit of Scotland at the Whisky Experience at the top of the Royal Mile. Then the next day a full day exploring the Highlands with a visit to 2 single malt distilleries. This itinerary is fully flexible and can be tailored to your schedule and flight times.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer
When you arrive at Edinburgh Airport, a professional chauffeur will be there to meet you and take you to your hotel. Once you’ve checked in, the rest of the day is yours to relax, wander the nearby streets, or simply unwind after your flight. If you arrive early and would like to include an extra activity, just let us know when you enquire.

Day 2: Edinburgh Walking Tour and Castle
Enjoy a half-day walking tour through Edinburgh’s Old Town, where centuries of history line every cobbled street. Stroll along the Royal Mile, explore the city’s narrow closes and hidden courtyards, and listen as your guide shares fascinating stories of royals, rebels, and everyday life in Scotland’s capital. The tour finishes with a visit to Edinburgh Castle, perched high on Castle Rock, where you’ll uncover tales of kings, queens, and historic battles. This tour can be arranged privately for a more personal experience or as part of a group.
In the afternoon, take a guided visit to the Scotch Whisky Experience, located beside the castle. This interactive attraction offers an engaging look into Scotland’s national drink, from its origins and distilling process to the distinct flavour profiles of each whisky region. You’ll also visit the Calive Vidiz Collection, an impressive room housing over 3,000 bottles of Scotch whisky from around the world. The experience concludes with a tasting session, giving you the chance to sample whiskies from several regions of Scotland. If you’d like to extend your visit, we can arrange lunch at the Amber Restaurant, known for pairing traditional Scottish dishes with fine whisky selections.

Day 3: Highland Whisky Tour
Embark on a full-day guided journey through the stunning Scottish Highlands, with a special focus on the art and tradition of Scotch whisky. This tour combines breathtaking scenery, local culture, and exceptional whisky experiences.
On the private tour, enjoy a visit to Glenturret Distillery, Scotland’s oldest working distillery, where you’ll take part in an in-depth production tour to learn how whisky is crafted from grain to glass. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional pub lunch in a charming Highland setting before ending the day with a Warehouse Tasting at Deanston Distillery, sampling drams straight from the cask. If time allows, you can also add a visit to Doune Castle, famous for its rich history and film connections.
The group tour follows a similar route, beginning with Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery for their popular Whisky and Chocolate Tasting Experience, pairing fine single malts with locally made artisan chocolates. The journey continues through scenic Perthshire to Crieff, home to Glenturret Distillery, where you’ll discover the craftsmanship and heritage behind one of Scotland’s most traditional whisky makers.

Day 4: Departure
Your chauffeur driver will collect you from your hotel approximately 2½ hours before your flight, ensuring you arrive at Edinburgh Airport with plenty of time for check-in and departure.
