Experience the best of Scotland on this 7-day Edinburgh tour package. Base yourself in Scotland’s historic capital while exploring the city, its surroundings, and some of the country’s most iconic sites. This itinerary is fully flexible and can be tailored to your schedule and flight times.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer
Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport, a professional chauffeur driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax, explore the nearby streets, or simply unwind after your journey. If you arrive early and would like to add an activity, let us know when you enquire.

Day 2: Edinburgh Walking Tour and Castle
Enjoy a half-day walking tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Wander along the Royal Mile, explore the historic closes, and hear fascinating stories from the city’s past. The tour concludes with a visit to Edinburgh Castle, where Scotland’s history comes alive. This can be arranged as a private tour or as part of a group.
In the afternoon, visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse*, the official Royal Residence in Edinburgh. Tickets are provided, and free audio guides let you explore at your own pace. For those with energy to spare, a climb up Arthur’s Seat offers panoramic views over the city.
*If the Palace is closed, a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia can be arranged instead.

Day 3: Royal Yacht, Whisky, and Rosslyn Chapel
Take a day trip to Leith to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia, Queen Elizabeth II’s former floating palace. Explore its decks and state rooms with an engaging audio tour.
Next, travel to Glenkinchie Distillery to discover the craft of Scottish whisky-making. Enjoy a detailed tour and sample their Lowland single malt.
Finish the day with a visit to the atmospheric Rosslyn Chapel, built in the 15th century by the Sinclair family. Its intricate stonework tells many stories and the chapel is famous for its connection to The Da Vinci Code.

Day 4: Stirling Castle and Surroundings
Embark on a day trip to Stirling, often called the key to Scotland. On a private tour, you’ll explore the courtyards and the Great Hall of Stirling Castle, followed by free time to explore the Royal Palace.
Private tours can also include visits to the Wallace Monument and the Bannockburn Battle Experience, or a trip to Loch Lomond. Group tours visit Loch Lomond instead.

Day 5: St Andrews and the Fife Coast
Today we journey into the Kingdom of Fife to visit the historic town of St Andrews, known as the home of golf. Enjoy a walking tour of St Andrews Cathedral, Castle, and the University. Afterward, visit the Old Course for free time to stroll, take photos, or shop.
On the way back, stop at Anstruther along the Fife Coastal Path to enjoy the charming coastal scenery.

Day 6: Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness
A full day exploring the Scottish Highlands. After a coffee break and the chance to see Highland cattle, travel to the dramatic Glencoe. Lunch is served in Fort William or Glencoe.
After lunch, travel past Ben Nevis and along the Great Glen to reach Loch Ness. Enjoy the option of a cruise on the loch or free time along the shore. On the return journey, pass through the Cairngorms and Pitlochry, taking in the stunning Highland scenery.

Day 7: Departure
Your chauffeur driver will collect you from your hotel approximately 2½ hours before your flight, ensuring a smooth arrival at Edinburgh Airport for check-in and departure.
