Come see two of the most important castles in Scotland! Base yourself in the ancient capital of Scotland to explore the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. On this tour, you’ll also take a day trip to Stirling Castle, often called the key to Scotland. This 4-day tour package can be adjusted to fit your schedule and flight times.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer
Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport, a local professional chauffeur driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax, explore nearby streets, or simply unwind after your journey. If your arrival is early and you want to add an experience, let us know when you enquire.
Day 2: Edinburgh Walking Tour and Castles
In the morning, enjoy a walking tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town. We will explore the Royal Mile, step in and out of historic closes, and hear fascinating stories from Edinburgh’s past. The tour ends with a visit to Edinburgh Castle, where Scotland’s history comes alive. This can be arranged as a private tour or as part of a group.
For lunch, enjoy afternoon tea at the Tea Rooms at Edinburgh Castle, or dine wherever you prefer.
In the afternoon, visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse* to explore the Royal Residence in Edinburgh. Tickets are provided so you can make your own way there, and free audio tours are included. Still have energy? Climb Arthur’s Seat for breathtaking views over the city.
*If closed, we can offer a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia instead.
Day 3: The Mighty Stirling Castle
Today we head to Stirling for a full-day tour. On a private tour, you will be escorted through the courtyards and the Great Hall of Stirling Castle. Afterward, enjoy free time to explore the Royal Palace at your leisure.
Private tour guests also have the option to visit the Wallace Monument and Bannockburn Battle Experience, or alternatively, take a trip to Loch Lomond. Group tours will visit Loch Lomond instead.
Day 4: Departure
Your chauffeur driver will collect you from your hotel approximately 2½ hours before your flight, ensuring you arrive at Edinburgh Airport in plenty of time.
